As an essential part of its mission to promote academic Jewish Studies in Europe, the European Association for Jewish Studies organises every four years a major Congress devoted to all periods and fields of Jewish Studies.
The XIth Congress of the EAJS will take place in Kraków in 2018 (July, 15-19).
The keynote theme of the XIth Congress is: Searching for Roots of Jewish Traditions.
The Congress is organised by the Institute of Jewish Studies, Jagiellonian University in cooperation with the Alef Foundation and with the kind support of other institutions and foundations.

The registration for the Congress will be open from Feb. 1 until March 31. We are working on the programme of the Congress - we kindly ask all the speakers and chairpersons to register as soon as possible, no later than April 15 (prefaerably until the end of March).
We offer a limited number of travel grants for young scholars. More information is available in "Registration" section.
Every participant is responsible for finding an accomodation; conference fee does not cover the cost of accomodation in Krakow. There is hovewer a number of hotels and hostels which ofer discounts for the Congress participants. More information can be found in "Accomodation" section.
